Always striving for beautifully designed, best selling collections, great care is taken in all stages of the design process.
I offer my clients a full or part design service.
Competitive Shop
I regularly visit high street and independent stores, observing current trends, reviewing their offer and noting price points. Understanding what’s going on in the home market is essential before starting a design project.
Trade Fairs
As the catwalks of the industry, I annually visit trade fairs observing trends and viewing what the more aspirational brands are showing. Shows include: The Furniture show - NEC Birmingham, Maison et Objet – Paris, IMM – Cologne, iSaloni – Milan, Meubelbeurs – Brussels, IFFS – Singapore.
Mood Boards
After a brief has been agreed, a selection of images, material suggestions & colour pallets are gathered. They are then assembled in the form of mood boards.
Sketch Concepts
The next stage of the creative process, is a variety of hand drawn options. The client can then choose from a variety of different ideas.
3D Models / Rendered Visuals
Once an overall look has been agreed by hand, fully rendered 3D models / visuals are produced so the client can get a realistic feel for the design, its detailing and materials.
Manufacturing Drawings
After visuals have been approved, AutoCAD manufacturing drawings are produced. These are in the form of scale General Arrangement drawings, with full size details.
Sampling and Development Process
Once a factory has been selected, we move into the pricing, then sampling stage. Usually the product is sampled at least once and requires a review of the design and specification, before production and the collection hitting the shop floors.
Partners
I work alongside other complimentary business’. Services include: Advice on trends, competitor evaluation and market analysis, brand creation, manufacturing and global sourcing.
